Real Testimonials from real people

SIOBHAN

“I have spent 2 training days with Keith, and it was time and money well spent. Keith is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. Both times, I have come away with a better understanding of how the bike works. I have gained skill and confidence.

I certainly leave feeling like I am riding better and that I enjoy being on the bike even more. Don’t hesitate to book – you won’t regret it!”

JANE

My confidence in progressive riding improved greatly, I feel safer as I’m more aware of what to look out for re potential hazards and correct positioning of my motorbike. Keith coached me using simple explanations of techniques and skills needed for me to improve my riding. He made me feel comfortable and I had fun learning.

SCOTT

I had done a fair bit of motorcycle training, ROSPA, track day training, British Superbike School, i-2-i etc, before attending my first day with Keith at Zen. I always thought there was something missing and I wasn’t making progress as safely as possible.

Keith tailored my day to exactly suit my requirements and gave me ideas to better my riding. I got so much out of it I had a second day booked a few months later.

PATRICK

“Using the leaning over the bike technique has helped confidence in corners and once it becomes ingrained in the subconscious you are naturally more confident.”

ANDY

I had a really great day training with Keith from Zen School of Motorcycling. This directly led me to progress further with advanced training and finally passing a RoSPA test to a Gold Standard. I would say that the training is brilliant and will save your life one day!

SEAN

My bike riding before my day’s training with Zen School of Motorcycling was a mixed bag of fun, scary, alarming, frustrating.

Zen School focused on improving my awareness of the road and other road users, bike positioning into and out of corners, correct gear. All the things necessary for safe fun rides. Fantastic course, which has now made my rides much more enjoyable.

JOHN

After passing my test and riding back from the test centre I suddenly realised that I could pass a motorbike test but I could not properly ride a motorbike. Booked a day of tuition to gain confidence on cornering and bike handling – had a great day. Been riding over a year now and will book a second day to gain more tuition and build on what I have already learnt .

DARRYL

Keith has a great way of instilling confidence in you. I came away feeling like I had learned a lot and that I had to go away and practice what I had been taught. Great knowledge and skill, also a fantastic mentor.

I had the pleasure of having Keith as my instructor after having myself put forward for 1to1 training after attending the firebike course, not only did he cater to me asking to film for my YouTube channel but he specifically tailored the session for me so it wouldn’t ruin anyone else’s experience going forward for training with him from seeing what I done as he meets each individual persons needs and revolves the session around them, I couldn’t recommend him enough and a very down to earth and laid back person, I will definitely get more training in with him again 😊👍🏼

Well what can I say, I’m recently back on a motorcycle now the children are grown up and thought it’d be a good idea to get some input/instruction. Within 30 minutes of Instructor Keith’s input I was grinning from ear to ear and laughing! Cornering, no joke felt like an epiphany and the roadcraft input just amazing and eye opening. Overall a real confidence boost all round and a fun level that has just increased 10 fold. Lots to work on and looking forward to more. Thanks Zen.😀👍

Simply cannot overstate how much I've learned from Keith today..From clearly explaining the physics of a motorcycle, to gently correcting my poor posture and stiffness on the bike. Improving my road positioning and identifying "trigger points" much earlier - all leading to to far smoother and safer progress. Already feels like my riding technique has taken a leap forward..Very highly recommended!!

Excellent motorcycle coach, I’ve been riding for decades now and RoSPA Gold IAM Green Badge qualified but we all develop lazy habits without realising it. Keith is very observant of those little habits , correcting in a non judgmental manner and make us safer and smoother on the road and giving helpful tips to improve our riding , thoroughly recommend using Keith’s experience and expertise

After over 20 years off a bike, I didn't want to assume I could get straight back to it. Decided that getting another 900cc sports bike was neither wise nor necessary, as my wants / needs were now nothing like they were back then. So, a used Forza350 was delivered, none of my original clothing fitted ( must have shrunk due to lack of use ) and I wobbled down the road. It kinda came back within minutes, but I wanted and needed the reassurance of someone who has been around forever, and definitely knows their stuff. Booked a day, went out and had a great time. I was rusty, I had remembered a lot, but my lines were not what they should have been, especially positioning and lane discipline. Just too much time off two wheels.Upshot was, a good day out on some really great roads, despite the 4'c and drizzle - and Keith is a smashing bloke too.I would not hesitate if, like me, you're getting back to two wheels - a few quid of the best money you will ever spend.Maybe a second bike in another 6 -12 months - something for the weekend sir ?!?And if you are wondering why I am back to two wheels - £790 a month's train fare in and out of London is now £160 a month in fuel and 'some put aside for costs'.Oh, and I feel great again.Do it, but do it safely.

I told Keith where I felt uncomfortable since crashing my R1 on the road last year. I also told him how I hadn’t ridden the road I crashed on since it happened. After a short ride of him following me, he also found some other issues with my riding style that needed improvement or adjustment.By the end of the day we had ridden confidently the exact road I crashed on (twice!) and he had also given me the tips I needed to break out of my bad habits. All in all I would highly recommend!Thankyou for helping me better my riding, as I’m writing this I have just finished my first ride since our lesson and my confidence on the road now is back where it used to be pre crash, and I can physically feel my bike is happier with me on it!

Had a absolutely amazing experience with Keith who was very knowledgeable, experienced and patient 😅 thankfully. I learned so much in a short time, and had boosted my confidence up enough to allow me to ride the furthest I have been yet!I cant thank you enough Keith, I feel so much more confident to ride and cannot wait to go out again tomorrow. Excitement only....no nerves!100% recommended for beginners and experienced ridersSee u soon at Munchies Bradwell.....hopefully next time you will see my bike there instead of the car 🥰

I had a fantastic day with Keith at Zen. Our day was sunny but the roads were frequently wet and many had wet sand and gravel coating from weeks of previous rain. Keith worked on my posture and weight distribution skills, giving me much more stability and safety when cornering, especially in bad conditions. We were able to make good safe progress in some poor conditions after working on the drills. These new techniques will make me safer in all conditions and have greatly added to my riding skillset. I thoroughly recommend Keith for taking your riding to the next level.

Had a fantastic day's training with Keith. Keith quickly spotted some issues with my ride which were holding me back and with a few simple adjustments not only was my ride transformed but I felt much safer on the bike. He's also based in biking mecca so the quiet country roads and beautiful views were an added bonus!

Just got back to biking after a 10 year break. Booked Keith in after a couple of weeks of driving and it was 100% the right call. Spent a great day learning about roadcraft, optimal positioning for safety and vision, relaxing in the seat (do the funky chicken) and the basics of counter steering.I've had an immediate improvement in riding and the extra knowledge has improved my confidence and safely in the seat.

I returned to biking after 20 years and have been riding again for just over a year. While I was enjoying being back on the road, I lacked confidence in cornering — mostly due to not fully trusting my own abilities or the bike’s capabilities.I’d previously done a Police BikeSafe day and understood the theory of roadcraft and positioning, but I wasn’t consistently putting it into practice.Wanting to improve, I looked into further training. Keith and the Zen School of Motorcycling came highly recommended via LMRC.Keith was great to deal with. We arranged to meet at a spot halfway between my home and Burnham-on-Crouch, where he’s based. After a bacon sarnie and a cuppa, we discussed my goals for the day and came up with a plan. Keith set me up with a two-way intercom so we could communicate while riding. He observed my riding first and gave me honest, practical feedback. Then he led the ride, talking through his thought process and demonstrating good roadcraft. He explained concepts like trigger points and how to maximise your view through corners. When I took the lead again, applying those ideas immediately made me feel more confident and in control. Keith’s feedback was clear, encouraging, and easy to understand. We stopped for a relaxed lunch and chatted about bikes and further training options, including the HRT Rider training at Cadwell Park (which I’ve now signed up for in August). After lunch, we focused more on body positioning, counter-steering, and cornering techniques. Keith explained not just how to do things, but why they matter — which really helped everything click. It was a lot to take in, but I started seeing the benefits straight away. My riding felt smoother and more deliberate, and the confidence boost was immediate. Now, three weeks later, I’ve had a few practice rides and today I spent a full day out. Everything is starting to come together — I’m more relaxed, not overthinking corners, and I’m confidently leaning and using counter-steering to settle into the right line. It’s made a huge difference to my enjoyment of riding. I’m now seeking out the twisties instead of dreading them.If you’re in a similar position, I’d highly recommend doing this training.

I had a two day course booked with Keith and it was the best days of riding I’ve had so far! All the concepts we covered were broken down and explained so well they were impossible not to implement while on the road! I can’t wait to book some more sessions in.

Excellent days tuition on great roads. Keith has the knowledge and experience to ensure you’ll get something out of the day regardless of your previous riding experience. Observed rides backed up with some theory on how bikes corner and what we can do to help them and also avoid the pitfalls of subconsciously fighting against them .. all in all a good confidence boost for me (even with 30yrs+ riding). Highly recommend👍.

I had not ridden in about 3 years and had lost my confidence so I reached out to Keith and set up a day to go riding. Best decision I made as I was going to sell my bike but one ride with Keith reversed that decision. He reminded me of techniques I had forgotten and taught me some new ones and brought back the joy of riding. I am now booked in with Keith for another session to improve upon my riding. Would definitely recommend anyone who either needs a bit more confidence or just improve upon on what they already have. Keith is patient, understanding and is happy to go at the peace you want and know exactly what to tweak to get you to ride better. Can’t wait for my next session.

Unbelievable.A great and hugely enjoyable learning experience.Keith spent a couple of hours tweaking my riding position which has given me so much more comfort and confidence. Then we spent a couple of hours slow riding which was my main problem….. It’s not anymore.Thank you Keith.I’ll be back for more very soon.

I've spent two training days with Keith in his Zen School and a few in his other classes in Essex. I always come away with a better understanding of the physics of the bike, road-craft and how I can get the most out of my riding. He's an extremely knowledgeable and experienced rider, an excellent communicator and skilled teacher. I've found him to be attentive, open and flexible. No matter what I've wanted to work on, he has always had ideas and helps me put things into practice. His feedback is constructive so I always know what's going well and where I can improve. A day with Keith is so valuable, and after each time I ride with him, I come away enjoying the bike so much more. Highly recommended and I'm looking forward to more time with Keith in the future!UPDATE: my most recent day with Keith was November 2023. It's now March 2024, and I have lost count of the number of people who have commented on how much better my riding is since my day with Keith. He is a game-changer!

Had a blast! I've been riding for about 3 or 4 years now and thought it was as good of a time as any to get further tips, and tricks and see how I am riding. Turns out Keith had a wealth of little tips and tricks to pass on which was very weird to apply at the start but by the end I was so much confident in myself my bike and the conditions (it was 2.5 degrees, wet, damp, cold - the lot). The application of all of it towards the end of the day was riding at a confidence that is probably something I would have previously reserved for a dry day so I came away completely flabbergasted at how much I was taught in a day!Keith had a fantastic plan of attack, enough stops for tea biscuits and a chat and theory time too. And was very very attentive.I'd like to go back next year and refresh and for anyone thinking about it I'd highly recommend. The pricing is also very competitive if you end up shopping around but that's not the main point, the main point is getting knowledge from someone who has had many many moons of experience!Thank you again!Cheers Patrick

I spent an enjoyable day with Keith. He put me at ease straight away. Keith taught me techniques I’d never tried before, and which pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I felt like I was in safe hands and he didn’t give me more than I could handle. In just one day, my riding already feels much smoother and more natural and it will only get better with practice. Thank you Keith!

Great day out with Keith. After 41yrs of riding I had a bad non fault accident. My riding had become defensive and I had planned on a retirement ride accross Europe but started to think maybe my riding days were over. The day course made me think about road positions and the professional way of riding. Haven't had a day off the bike so far and have my mojo back. Funny I didn't know everything after all.

I had a great day riding with Keith.I requested the training that I wanted initially and the day was then tailored around what was seen in my riding. My riding skills were challenged pushing me out of my comfort zone so that I can overcome fears and improve.I really enjoyed the roads and the places we stopped for comfort breaks and lunch. I will return to these spots to practice. Overall I think you have given me a lot to do and I just need to put this all into practise. Thank you.

Keith is the most knowledgeable advanced instructor/coach I've met in the industry. He done even a few courses free for the local motorcyclists to make us more aware of the cornering techniques and countersteering, plus his riding skills are insane! We attended as well a skills day and he was our instructor and he made us understand a lot of the motorcycle dynamics, how to pick up a motorcycle, how to do safety braking in different situations and road conditions. Plus is really polite, supportive and empowering ladies on motorbikes!Totally recommend his courses and coaching!
